2nd day done!

WOW! Today went quick!! We didn't start too much earlier today. We were on schedule according to our plan though. Here it is lunch and all my son has to do is Math! Amazing. We had a nice day. I was a bit on edge for some reason. Which doesn't help anything. We are waiting to do the poster because Superkid wants to use the coloring pages on his. So, we skipped that. I am just amazed though that we are done!!!!!!! WOW!

Ok, here's our world map we made today. Don't laugh at my drawings. :-D

Have I mentioned that I LOVE this new curriculum???

I love that you are blogging about school. Especially since you are using the curriculum that my daughter will be moving up to next year.
We are on day 20 of the first grade curriculum but this is our 2nd day back after a two week break(to have a baby as you know). It's almost like we are starting over. I have opted to wait until my 2 year old is napping to do school. It is so much more peaceful and I don't have all four to deal with while I try to teach.
Keep blogging! I'm excited to see what you are doing. I feel like we don't spend enough time doing school but the MFW doesn't have much more for us to do. I also think it is because my daughter already knows how to read so I'm not having to spend time on that part.
Thanks for your encouraging comment on my blog.
Love in Christ,
Kimm

That's one thing I love so much about MFW, they take the CM philosophy of quality vs quantity. You can see the light come on and they learn, without burdening them.

I'm really nervous about next week as there is much more to do and we have a few outings. I didn't want to do any extra today though, I just wanted to relish in the fact that it only took a few hours to do school and we really did do a lot!

I still think it's funny that you mentioned MFW awhile back, but I didn't really look into it until just this last month. I looked in my blog archives and laughed the other day. :-D

Only two weeks? I have no idea how long I will need. I do know that I like to try to get back to "normal" as soon as possible. I've been trying to plan ahead to where we might be when baby comes. I'm not sure really, because it depends on how we handle the holidays. (insert a concerned smile here)

Nice to hear from you!

i started the first week of August so that i would have room for a break. the only reason that i am able to get back to it so soon is that my husband is still at home and has taken on the kids and house so i can heal. we thought it would be a good idea to do school this week to break me in before he goes back to work. it's actually not hard with an infant since he is either eating or sleeping 24/7.
