Finding our groove.

These past few weeks instead of following the days perfectly I've looked at the week as a whole. I've found that we've sort of grouped things together so one day he's working almost entirely on just math and english, then another day we'll do all the science, etc. WE ARE LOVING IT! For some reason it doesn't seem to drag things out as much. Although I don't like the idea of doing all the Bible at the same time, it has been working just fine. By the end of the week everything is checked off and we weren't stressed each day to switch gears every half hour.

Here's a photo of our experiment we did today:

My Superman brought this home for me yesterday. Isn't it beautiful?? We did it hours ago, I just checked & no drops yet. Maybe a rose leaf wasn't the best choice?

So, where are we now?

All we have left to work on is this all the fun stuff!!

~We still have to make the North America game. I wish I had some sort of geography game already that I could use in place of this each time. I'm thinking about buying Carmen San Diego or something like that. Actually as soon as I'm done here I'll do a search to see what free games I might be able to find online.

~Projects: Superman promised to do the pinata with him, because that just seemed like too big of a project for me. So I assume that will happen sometime maybe this weekend. We need to pickup some tissue paper for the flowers and Superkid picked the "tin" art for this week which I also need to pick up supplies for at the store. (pinata was last week.)

~We have four chapters left until our read aloud is completely done. We have really enjoyed that!

~I'll have him do his "wrap-ups" of all he learned. (from his read aloud and his Mexico trip.)

Then....

It's time for our FIESTA!!!!!

I found you through the MFW blogroll and I'm sure glad I did.

Great idea to scan the week and see if you can lump things together.

I've found that I don't like the I'm behind feeling, that I get when I have to skip a day. So I have been combining days a lot.

I love this curriculum. I'm using CTG... this is a great fit for us.

I'm putting your blog on my google reader, and I'm looking forward to reading how you use MFW in your day.
